There's a small parking lot you can use for free with bathrooms. However as soon as I exit and walk to the beach I noticed dogs are not allowed so I left.

This is a great little beach area near the bridge between Big Hickory Island and Little Hickory Island. It's small. It's protected from the ocean by the barrier island. So no real waves....
