The Palm Beach County-Public Safety Department is comprised of various divisions, including animal care, consumer affairs, emergency management, and justice and victim services. Its animal care division is accredited by the Humane Society of the United States and is responsible for animal law enforcement, pet identification, rabies vaccinations and the rescue of abused domestic animals and livestock. The Palm Beach County-Public Safety Department s consumer affairs division assists residents and visitors with advice and information about unfair, fraudulent and deceptive practices of businesses and landlords. Its justice services division provides professional assistance to citizens in the areas of mentoring, monitoring, arbitration, guardianship, legal representation, guidance, counseling, therapy, education, psychological testing and evaluation.
