Howard Middle School

Westside Elementary School is a part of Hernando County School Board, which operates elementary, middle and high schools. Founded in 1972, Westside Elementary School serves students in kindergarten through grade five. Its staff includes classroom and resource teachers, specialists, Title I instructors, paraprofessionals, psychologists, social workers, and cafeteria and custodial personnel. The school supports a variety of extracurricular programs in art, music, technology studies and physical education. In addition, Westside Elementary School offers the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. It provides speech therapy and guidance counseling services to students. The school has a parent-teacher organization that supports and sponsors several school events and activities. Westside Elementary School is located in Spring Hill, Fla.

Located in Ocala, Fla., Forest High Schools provides a wide range of educational opportunities to its students. Lake Weir Middle School, located in Summerfield, Fla., is a part of Marion County Public Schools. The school provides general academic education programs to more than 1,300 students in grades six through eight. Its curriculum includes English, math, science and social studies. It operates drama, Bible, yearbook and cheerleading clubs. Lake Weir Middle School offers a range of extracurricular activities that includes music, physical education, and performing and visual arts. The school has a parent-teacher-student association that conducts fundraising activities and special programs. It also provides technical and vocational courses in agriculture, business education, health occupations, and family and consumer science. Its facility features a library and media center that organizes several events, including book fairs and reading programs.
