Heartland Christian Counseling

The Peace River Center is a private, nonprofit community mental health organization that offers mental and behavioral health care services to individuals. Operational for more than 60 years, the center is accredited by The Joint Commission. Its services and programs include crisis stabilization, outpatient counseling, psychiatric and medical, adult residential treatment, case management, substance abuse, domestic violence and rape recovery programs. The center additionally provides individual, group and consulting services to students in the Polk County School System. The Peace River Center is funded by various organizations, including the Florida Department of Children & Families, United Way of Central Florida, Polk Health Care Plan and Board of County Commissioners for Polk. The Peace River Center has a location in Lakeland, Fla.
