Hallendale Beach City Hall

A city commission operates Hallandale Beach city in Florida. The commission is the legislative and policy setting body of the city, and consists of five elected officials that include the mayor, vice mayor, and three commissioners. The commission is elected at-large at municipal elections. The city commission appoints the city manager and city attorney, and enacts all ordinances and resolutions to determine city policy, and ensures performance of all duties and obligations imposed upon the city by law. The city government has various departments, including bids and purchasing, city attorney, clerk and manager s offices, community redevelopment agency, development services, and finance. It also has fire rescue, human services, information technology, parks and recreation, personnel, planning and zoning, police, public works, utilities and engineering, risk management, sanitation services, and water and utility services departments.
