Diana Llompart, M.D., is a psychiatrist at Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care | FIU Health. Her clinical training includes a four-year psychiatry residency at Memorial Healthcare System in Hollywood, Florida, where she served as chief resident. To provide patients with personalized and comprehensive care, Dr. Llompart takes a holistic approach by considering biological, psychological and social factors, including the social determinants of health. Her post-doctoral training includes a residency in adult psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. As a clinician, Dr. Augius combines her expertise in psychopharmacology with integrative health practices to optimize treatment outcomes for patients. She strives to create a space where every person feels seen, heard and valued, free from judgment. Her goal is to give patients hope and empower them to move toward greater self-understanding, resilience and wellbeing. Dr. Augius is fluent in English and Lithuanian and speaks conversational Spanish. Patricia Junquera, MD

Patricia Junquera, M.D., FAPA, is a board-certified psychiatrist at Baptist Health Brain & Spine Care | FIU. Her areas of expertise include geriatric psychiatry, anxiety, mood disorders, substance use disorders and women’s mental health. Dr. Junquera serves as chair and associate professor of psychiatry and behavioral health at FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine and provides clinical psychiatric services at the FIU Health Faculty Group Practice. She spearheaded the clinic’s use of new and alternate treatments for patients with treatment resistant depression (TRD) who have not responded to two or more prior trials of antidepressant medications. These include repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation, a non-invasive, FDA-cleared treatment, and the soon-to-be offered Spravato, a fast-acting nasal spray used in addition to oral medications, also approved for patients suffering from depression with suicidal thoughts. Dr. Junquera’s clinical experience includes serving as medical director of the Detox Unit and senior psychiatrist of the Emergency Department at Jackson Behavioral Health as well as medical director of behavioral health for Miami-Dade Correctional facilities. Through her clinical research, Dr. Junquera advances medical knowledge and improves patient care through the development of new treatments and diagnostic tools. She also contributes to the scientific community as an editorial reviewer for Cureus Journal of Medical Science, a fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and member of several other professional organizations. Dr. Junquera earned her medical degree at Universidad Autonoma de Ciencias Médicas de Centro América in San José, Costa Rica. She completed a psychiatry residency and a geriatric psychiatry fellowship at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine, Jackson Health System. Dr. Junquera believes mental health is not an isolated aspect of a patient’s health but is interconnected with physical, emotional, social and spiritual well-being. With that philosophy in mind, she strives to establish trust and connection with her patients and takes a deeply personalized and integrative approach to mental health care — one that honors each patient’s unique story, lived experience and goals.
