Our Mission Citrus County Mosquito Control is to promote the health, safety, and welfare of Citrus County residents and visitors through a program of integrated pest management practices to control populations of infected mosquitoes that may become a nuisance or a threat to public health.

The Parks & Recreation Division of Citrus County, Fla., offers a variety of parks and recreational facilities. Its parks offer a range of amenities that includes barbecue grills, fishing piers, jogging trails, horseshoe pits, boat ramps, pavilions, playgrounds, parking facilities, water fountains and showers. The parks also include baseball, soccer, softball and football fields and basketball, racquetball and shuffleboard courts. The division also maintains a river campground of more than 30 acres, which provides opportunities for camping, boating, picnicking, fishing and canoeing. Additionally, it organizes a range of programs and events that include yoga classes, art camps and hip-hop dances. The division also manages cemeteries and maintains its office in Lecanto, Fla.
