Coconut Creek Public Works Division

The Public Work Department is a full-service public agency that works to preserve and protect properties. The department is responsible for maintaining buildings and grounds, park and recreation facilities and landscaped roadways. It offers logistical support services for several events. The Public Work Department coordinates debris removal operation and solid waste and recycling collection related to hurricanes and disasters. It provides maintenance, repair, renovation and construction services. The department is also responsible for maintaining the fleet of vehicles and equipment, including utility vehicles, buses, trucks, police cars and turf maintenance equipment. The Public Work Department is operated by the City of Coconut Creek, Fla., which additionally manages fire, police, human resources, purchasing, and parks and recreation departments.

The Coconut Creek Police Department serves Cocunt Creek, Fla., a community with one of the lowest crime rates in south Florida. The Coconut Creek Police Department plays a large part in everyday community life and helps provide a sense of order in the Broward County, Fla., community. The Police Department participates in civic life through law enforcement services, including bicycle patrols, general and special crime investigation, community involvement organizations, and traffic control and regulation. The department maintains a library of fingerprints of present and past residents of the city. The department dispatches patrol cars to respond residents home or business if a complaint originates in the Coconut Creek city limits. Residents are welcome to file reports in the Cocnut Creek Police Station in downtown Coconut Creek.
