Specialties
At Clubhouse University, our program is based on the philosophy that young children learn best by doing. Through active involvement and exploration of their environment, children learn about themselves and the world around them. Children begin by learning simple concepts and then use these concepts to grasp more complex ideas. It is the teacher's role in the classroom to help young children use their environment productively, and to encourage them to explore, discover, and try increasingly challenging skills. At Clubhouse University, we have taken great care to provide a quality, age-appropriate environment that is safe, nurturing, stimulating and designed to promote that social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of young children. Clubhouse University has two clear goals for young children: First, to instill in children a love for learning: By praising their accomplishments, encouraging their efforts, and valuing their thoughts and opinions, young children feel good about who they are, build self-esteem and develop the courage to explore new tasks. Second, to teach children how to learn: To become successful learners, both now and in the future, young children must learn to think for themselves, to solve problems, and to get along with others. At Clubhouse University, we accomplish this by encouraging children to explore their environment, to solve problems that have real meaning to them, and to work cooperatively with others to complete tasks.
