Joshua M. Heiman, M.D., is a fellowship-trained urologist at Baptist Health Urology, specializing in endourology and minimally invasive urologic surgery. He focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of kidney stones, benign prostatic enlargement, prostate cancer, renal masses and other conditions affecting the urinary and reproductive systems. Dr. Heiman has advanced training in holmium laser enucleation of the prostate — a highly effective, minimally invasive procedure for patients with very large prostates — as well as percutaneous nephrolithotomy, a specialized technique used to treat large or complex kidney stones. He also received extensive fellowship training in robotic-assisted urologic surgery, with a focus on minimally invasive procedures for conditions involving the kidneys, prostate and bladder. After earning a master’s degree in biotechnology at Rush University in Chicago, Dr. Heiman earned his medical degree at Florida Atlantic University Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine in Boca Raton. He completed a five-year residency in urology at Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis. During his residency, he served as a robotics education curriculum coordinator in the Department of Urology. His post-doctoral training also includes a fellowship in endourology and minimally invasive surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville. Dr. Heiman has published his research findings in medical journals and presented his work at national and international scientific symposiums. He is a member of the American Urologic Association and the Endourological Society. Through open communication and shared decision-making, Dr. Heiman builds trust with his patients and their family members and works closely with them to develop personalized care plans that align with their values and goals. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Heiman cherishes spending time with his family and Golden Retriever, Indy. Ari Silverstein, M.D., a board-certified urologist and surgeon at the Eugene M. and Christine E. Lynn Cancer Institute, part of Baptist Health, at Boca Raton Regional Hospital. He is the vice chief of suregery at Boca Ration Regional Hopsital and director of general surgery at Baptist Health Medical Group. Dr. Silverstein specializes in kidney, ureter and prostate cancers. He also treats urologic conditions such as kidney stones and urinary tract issues. After earning his medical degree from Emory University School of Medicine, Dr. Silverstein continued his medical training at Duke University Medical Center, where he was a urology research fellow, senior urology resident and chief urology resident. Throughout his distinguished career, Dr. Silverstein has been recognized locally and nationally for his clinical expertise. He has also been the lead or co-author on more than 20 peer-reviewed publications. He is a member of the American Medical Association and American Urological Association. Dr. Silverstein believes the most important quality a physician should possess is compassion. He feels strongly that patients deserve to be listened to and understood so they can receive the treatment thathelps them live their best life. When he is not caring for patients, Dr. Silverstein enjoys traveling, hiking and spending time with his family.

Jason Perry, M.D., is a primary care sports medicine physician with Baptist Health Orthopedic Care. Dr. Perry specializes in non-operative orthopedics and primary care sports medicine. Prior to joining Boca Raton Regional Hospital in 2015, Dr. Perry completed a primary care sports medicine fellowship at Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedic Center. He currently serves as a team physician for Florida Atlantic University and Lynn University. Dr. Perry has a strong commitment to providing evidence-based medical care through a patient-centered approach. When defining the best treatment plan for each patient, he considers all of the components related to their injury, including the underlying biomechanics of the injury, the patient’s needs and expectations, and the injury’s short- and long-term implications. He also assists patients in the recovery process to help them reach their ultimate goals of returning to everyday activities or sports at their optimal potential. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Perry enjoys spending time with family and friends, staying active in the gym, playing sports, fishing, boating and golfing.
