Dr. Charles Mayes is an interventional cardiologist who obtained his bachelor?s degree and medical degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. He performed his residency training in internal medicine at The University of Texas at Southwestern in Dallas, Texas, and served as chief resident from 1998-1999. He then trained for three years in general cardiology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, N.C. He remained at Duke for fellowship training in interventional cardiology and congenital heart diseases. He is board certified in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology and has practiced for the past 10 years in Panama City, Lafayette, La., and most recently in Hattiesburg, Miss.
