Doured Daghistani, M.D., is a pediatric oncologist/hematologist at Miami Cancer Institute, a part of Baptist Health South Florida. He is also medical director of pediatric oncology at Baptist Children’s Hospital. Dr. Daghistani received his medical degree from the University of Damascus in Syria and completed an internship at Mouassa Hospital, Damascus, Syria Centre Hospitalier de Mamers, in France. He later completed a fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at the University of Miami/Jackson Memorial Hospital. He is Board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and holds sub-Board certification in pediatric hematology/oncology.

Juan Pretell, M.D., is a musculoskeletal oncology surgeon and the chief of musculoskeletal oncology surgery at Miami Cancer Institute. Dr. Pretell specializes in benign and malignant musculoskeletal tumors and skin cancers affecting the musculoskeletal system. He is fluent in English and Spanish.Prior to joining Miami Cancer Institute in 2022, Dr. Pretell worked at University of Miami where he was an Associate Professor of Orthopedic and Faculty of the Orthopedic Surgery residency program and Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship. He also was the director of clinical research in the Division of Musculoskeletal Oncology Surgery.Dr. Pretell’s research has been published in high-impact national and international orthopedic and oncology journals. He has been a speaker in national and international meetings, and faculty for international Musculoskeletal Oncology courses. He is an active member of the Musculoskeletal Tumor Society and fellow of the AAOS. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthopedic Surgeons.Dr. Pretell’s approach to patient care is to view patients and their families as his own family members. He is honest and open about the diagnosis and the treatment options available with the most current, evidence-based medicine. When he is not treating patients, Dr. Pretell enjoys going to arcades, cooking classes and entertainment activities with his oldest stepson and his triplets, watching movies with his oldest daughter, traveling and taking beach walks with his wife. He is also an avid World Cup soccer fan.
