Everyone knows about the WWII memorial, but there is also a WWI memorial in DC. It's fairly new, having only opened in Pershing Park in April 2021, which is probably why I didn't know about it....

This is one memorial we came across by accident, I did not know they had a WWI memorial. This is another lovely memorial that pays respect to those that fought during that difficult time in history.

This is one of the newest memorials in DC and has rejuvenated the floundering Pershing park. There is metered street parking nearby and it is very beautiful. The memorial was opened in April 2016....
