Paul R. Shin, M.D., earned his undergraduate degree with distinction in biology and his medical degree from the University of Virginia School of Medicine, Charlottesville, VA. Before starting his residency he completed a 1 year internship in general surgery with the Emory University Hospitals and Clinics, Atlanta, GA. He continued on to complete his residency in urology at the University of Virginia before heading to the Cleveland Clinic Foundation's Glickman Urological Institute to complete his fellowship in male infertility. Dr. Shin was an Executive Board Member for the Society for the Study of Male Reproduction (SSMR) from 2011 to 2013 and Program Chair for the 2012 SSMR meeting.

Kate Devine, M.D., FACOG, received her bachelor's degree in philosophy with a pre-medical concentration from Columbia University. She went on to obtain her medical degree with distinction in ovarian cancer research from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. After finishing her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the New York University School of Medicine, she completed a 3-year fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the National Institutes of Health (NIH), during which time she was the recipient of the NIH Intramural Loan Repayment grant for her research.
