Dr. Adré J. du Plessis, M.B.Ch.B., is a full-time attending in prenatal neurology, as well as the Director of the Prenatal Pediatrics Institute, Division Chief of Prenatal and Transitional Pediatrics, and Director of the Prenatal Brain Program at Children's National Hospital. In addition, Dr. du Plessis is a Professor of Pediatrics and Neurology at George Washington University School of Medicine.

As division chief of Orthopaedic Surgery and Sports Medicine at Children’s National Hospital, Matthew Oetgen, M.D., M.B.A., oversees Washington, D.C.’s, most comprehensive program focused on the orthopaedic needs of children. As a practicing orthopaedic surgeon with a busy clinical practice, Dr. Oetgen is an expert in the unique challenges of delivering such care to kids, whose bodies, bones and connective tissue are still growing and changing.

Nadia Merchant, M.D., is a pediatric endocrinologist and geneticist at Children's National Hospital. Dr. Merchant's clinical interests include bone health and the intersection of genetics and endocrinology. She is involved in multiple multidisciplinary clinics as the endocrinologist: The Bone Health Program with Orthopaedics; the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic; the White Matter Clinic specifically for X-linked adrenoleukodystrophy; and the 22q clinic. She is passionate about maximizing a patient's potential.
