Dr. O'Donnell earned her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed a surgical residency at Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. O'Donnell is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons, as well as a member of the John Carroll Society, where she previously chaired the Rose Mass Committee.
