Ellen O'Brien, MD

Richard Jonas, M.D., is emeritus chief of Cardiac Surgery and a senior investigator in the Center for Neuroscience Research. He led the Division of Cardiovascular Surgery for 16 years and built a reputation of excellence. He is a world-renowned pediatric cardiac surgeon who specialized in optimizing the developmental and cognitive outcomes of patients after surgery for congenital heart disease throughout his career. He pioneered corrective surgery, personally performing more than 350 complex congenital reconstructive procedures annually.

Kenneth Rosenbaum, M.D., is a world-renowned medical geneticist at Children's National Hospital. He is also the co-director of the Down Syndrome Clinic and the NF clinic. Dr. Rosenbaum started with Children’s National Hospital in 1972 after completing his medical genetics training at Johns Hopkins University in 1971. Dr. Rosenbaum has overseen dysmorphic research projects at the National Institutes of Health, in Egypt, and at Children’s National Hospital.

Dr. Wernovsky is a Cardiac Critical Care Specialist and consultant in pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Critical Care at Children National Hospital. At Children’s National Hospital, he is member of the NeuroCardiac Critical Care Team, and is a Professor of Pediatrics at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences.
