Ruchika Karnik, MBBS, (a medical degree awarded in several countries outside of the U.S.), is a general pediatric cardiologist who diagnoses and manages congenital and acquired heart disease for pediatric patients from newborn stage to adolescence. She has an additional focus on fetal cardiology, including fetal echocardiography (ultrasound) which encompasses care for pregnant women who are at high risk to give birth to a baby with a heart defect, or who are carrying a fetus with suspected heart disease.

Meredith Leslie, MD, is a general pediatric cardiologist, delivering comprehensive cardiac care to patients with congenital and acquired heart disease. Her clinical practice involves management of common childhood cardiac issues including murmurs, chest pain, palpitations, syncope, and preventative cardiology. She has a special interest in fetal cardiology, with focus on diagnosis and family-centered management of complex congenital heart disease from fetal life through adolescence.

Ehud Mendel, MD, MBA, is a neurosurgeon and director of the Spine Oncology Program at Smilow Cancer Hospital’s Disease Center. A renowned leader in spinal surgery procedures, Dr. Mendel removes spinal tumors and has spearheaded research in reconstructive surgery following tumor removal. With areas of specialty including spinal cancer, spine sarcoma, and spinal cord tumors, he has built specific protocols for removal of spinal cord tumors. The entire tumor must be removed, or cancer cells invade other parts of a patient’s body.
