Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art, located in Hartford, Conn., is one of the oldest public art museums in the United States. The museum features and acquires works of art from around the world. It showcases a permanent collection of more than 45,000 works of art, and many of its paintings are considered masterpieces of American art. The museum features works by Dal , Caravaggio and Mir . Major art patrons have endowed its collections over the years with priceless Meissen and S vres porcelain, English silver, and American furniture. The museum showcases its art through special exhibitions, lectures, tours, performances, films and family events. The Atheneum presents more than 15 special shows each year. Many are inspired by masterworks in the museum's holdings, while others are solo shows by emerging artists.

Beautiful amazing art workers very friendly too. Also gift shop had very cool things. The art was very diverse there was European, African, Asian etc.
