The Houndmaster

History

After working as a rehabilitor for violent dogs, and as the lead dog trainer at a local franchise pet shop, Nicholas started The Houndmaster to cater to the specific needs of local dog owners. Starting from 2017, The Houndmaster offers: in-home dog training, where clients are shown how to train their own dogs, off-leash dog walking, which improves a dogs physical and mental health, and in-home dog sitting and check up visits, for dogs' whose owners are away.

The Houndmaster is a full service dog-care boutique. They offer a great dog training service, a unique dog walking service, and a reliable dog sitting service. In the category of Dog Training, The Houndmaster offers courses such as Basic Obedience, Off-Leash/On-leash Walking, Behavior Modification, and a Tricks course. Client dog owners are shown how to train their own dog, while teacher and student train the dog together. Clients are shown how to apply positive reinforcement training to make their dog listen to them just like a fellow hooman would. In the dog walking category, The Houndmaster provides a walking service, wherein the dog is trained to walk off leash, and is walked with a trained and established pack in off leash approved, dog friendly, parks and woods. The Houndmasters' dog walking program provides dogs with the socialization, and exercise all dogs need, and will transform your dog into a healthier, happier canine. The Houndmaster also offers a dog sitting service, in which there are three options: Daily Visits, Overnight Dog Sitting, and Dog Boarding. When dogs board with us they get trained to walk off leash and are walked for over 2 hours on a daily basis. Check us out!
