It also offers IT services, business consulting, software and application services and asset recovery. The company manufactures a variety of computer systems, software, servers, semiconductors, printing and storage systems, as well as other accessories and parts. Its global financing segment provides commercial financing to dealers and remarketers of IT products; lease and loan financing to external and internal clients; and sale and lease of used equipment. The company was formerly known as Computing-Tabulating-Recording Company and changed its name to International Business Machines Corporation in 1924.
