Specialties HSS Sports Rehab team has a variety of manual and sports-related certifications, including Orthopedic Certified Specialist and Certified Hand Therapist, among others. We treat active individuals of all ages, including young athletes, competitive athletes and recreational athletes, and offer nonsurgical, preoperative and postoperative care. The equipment at Sports Rehab includes a SwimEx physical therapy pool for quick recovery and performance enhancement, as well as an AlterG® anti-gravity treadmill. This unique device allows for early gait and mobility training in the acute phases of recovery, as well as speed work and performance training in the later phases of rehabilitation.

Dr. Barbadimos joined the faculty at Albert Einstein University College of Medicine in 1997 as an attending physician in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and still maintains the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor. As Director of Cardiac Rehabilitation at Montefiore, he published a paper in the American Journal of PM&R, in addition to other case studies that have been written and presented. Dr. Barbadimos joined Premier Medical Group, now Stamford Health Medical Group, in 2001, exclusively practicing acute and chronic pain management, electro diagnosis, epidural injections, prolotherapy, sacroiliac and facet joint injections and medical acupuncture.
