Dr. Corvo, the Chairman of Surgery at Norwalk Hospital, part of Nuvance Health, is a nationally recognized surgeon, leader and educator with over twenty-five years of experience. His use of opioid-sparing surgery and tailored antibiotics may help patients have less pain, shorter hospital stays and lower infection rates. Dr. Corvo built a 3-D printing lab that enables him to create models of a patient’s anatomy, which may help improve surgical accuracy and patient safety. He has instructed numerous generations of surgical residents and Physician Assistants. Dr. Corvo is board-certified in general and critical care surgery. He has a particular interest in robotic surgery. Dr. Corvo is a professor of surgery and the founding president of the Connecticut Surgical Quality Collaborative. He is also a Past President of the Connecticut Chapter of the American College of Surgeons and a Past Governor of the American College of Surgeons.
