Founded in 1905, the Visiting Nurse Association of Central Connecticut is a nonprofit home health care agency. The organization provides companion, laundry, meal preparation and housekeeping services. It offers speech, physical and occupational therapy solutions. The Visiting Nurse Association of Central Connecticut also provides medical social work services to residents. Its hospice department offers physical, psychological, social and spiritual support to patients and their families. The organization also coordinates the Care Call program, which assists women to have healthy babies. The Visiting Nurse Association of Central Connecticut additionally conducts flu and senior outreach clinics, as well as provides immunization and health screening services.
