The City of Groton Parks and Recreation department that is maintained by the city of Groton in Connecticut, which also operates fire, finance, planning and police departments. The department offers sports activities, including basketball, tennis, boating, soccer and golf. The department also offers personal watercraft certification programs. The department maintains parks, pavilions and ball fields within an area of more than 60 acres. The department also provides a community building on rent to the residents of the city.
