Founded in 1797, Deerfield Academy offers a wide range of bachelors, masters, and doctorate degree programs to the students of Massachusetts. The college enrolls more than 600 students and provides over 150 courses. It operates through various academic departments, including computer science, English, fine arts, health issues, history, languages, mathematics, philosophy and religion, and science. Its computer science courses are designed for learning programming methods, design skills and advanced use of various software applications. Deerfield Academy has 90 acres of field area that houses tennis courts, hockey rink, gymnasium with two basketball courts, squash courts, fitness center, the Koch Pool, all-weather porous track with high and long jump, pole vault, shot put and discus area. It also offers various extracurricular activities, such as dance, community service, acting, drama and outdoor skills, including camping and canoeing. It is located in Deerfield, Mass.
