Little Valley Wholesale Nursery was established in 1979. The nursery initially consisted of approximately 15 acres of field and container stock, as well as a staff of four people. In 1991, the company added wholesale to its name. The plant palette, as well as the staff and acreage, has continued to expand. Little Valley offers more than 450 varieties of perennials, 250 varieties of shrubs and 100 varieties trees. Approximately 80 varieties of its trees are grown in the company s fields. With the recent lease of property adjacent to its office site in Brighton, Colo., the company has approximately 115 acres of field and container stock under production. During its peak season, Little Valley Wholesale Nursery employs more than 100 people.
