Arc Thrift Stores

MARC, also known as Metropolitan arc Thrift Stores, is a nonprofit organization that serves individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located in Lakewood, Colo., the organization provides fiduciary distributions to the Association for Retarded Citizens of the United States and the Association for Community Living units in Colorado through several arcThrift Stores and fundraising events. Operational since 1963, it offers educational, job training and advocacy services for individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as community awareness and legislative support programs. MARC provides assistance to develop self-determination participating in household tasks, social gatherings and professional workplaces. The organization additionally offers housing assistance, dispute resolution and guardianship services. It provides health care, referral and complaint evaluation services.
