The CIA Officers Memorial Foundation, established in December 2001, is dedicated to honoring the memory and supporting the families of CIA officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. With a unique mission validated by CIA leadership and legislative affirmation, the Foundation provides assistance and resources to the families of deceased CIA personnel, ensuring they are provided for.

Founded in honor of Johnny Micheal Spann, the first CIA officer killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the Foundation has been serving the CIA community for over 23 years. Through generous donations and collaboration with the CIA's Office of Casualty Affairs, the Foundation reaches out to families, assesses their needs, and offers support. Led by a dedicated team, including the President, Chief Financial Officer, Career Services Program Director, and Director of Scholarship Programs, the Foundation continues to fulfill its mission of honoring and assisting those who have given their last full measure of devotion to their country.
