In operation since 1920, The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan political organization that works to improve systems of government and impact public policies through citizen education and advocacy. It has expertise in handling matters associated with election administration, voting rights, civil liberties, and immigration and tax policies. The League of Women Voters is also working with the Newspaper in Education Institute to create a newspaper supplement of election information for young voters, students and adults. In addition, the organization conducts training and resource programs on global climate change and campaign finance issues. The League of Women Voters maintains a location in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
