Come along on a walking tour of Capitola-by-the-Sea where you will hear about our colorful local history, and enjoy a taste of fine wines! Learn about the history and architecture of Capitola Village and discover the lesser-known back streets, stairways and viewpoints with your Tour Guide, Laura Keefe Junod and discover why people have been coming to vacation in Capitola for almost 150 years. Tour this charming village on-foot, through the hidden streets and paths, and take in amazing views of the Pacific Ocean. We begin with a Welcome tasting of a sparkling wine at a village restaurant/bistro. Then we depart on our walking excursion around the village. The walking portion will last about 1 1/2 hours. We finish our tour in the heart of the Village at a fun wine bar. Here we will enjoy a tasting of a flight of 3 California wines, and also nibble on snacks paired with each wine. After the tour has ended, you can continue to enjoy your perfect evening by either lingering to enjoy the wine and music, taking a sunset walk on the beach, or having dinner at a local restaurant.
