Valley Beth Shalom

Valley Beth Sholom is a community of Jewish families promoting Jewish values through worship, study and services. The center offers a wide range of education, youth, adult and community programs. Its educational services include adult education, day school, family center program; Hebrew school; infant and toddler educational services; nursery school; lunch and learn and special need programs; and library services. It also provides various youth programs, such as shearim programs, Cub Scouts, United Synagogue Youth, and B'Yachad, a Jewish teenage group for youth with developmentally disablities and special needs youngsters. The center operates a Russian club, a group for Russian immigrants that meets weekly to socialize, study and celebrate Jewish life together. The club s members are offered classes in basic Judaism, holiday workshops; Shabbat dinners and services; holiday celebrations and Jewish cultural arts events; as well as English classes; job training and placements. It is located in Encino, Calif.
