Thang Long, the first An family restaurant, opened in 1971 when Diana An bought a 20-seater diner in the Sunset District of San Francisco. An, a Vietnamese immigrant of royal descent, had earlier experienced the cuisine created by the family s three chefs, a Vietnamese, a Chinese and a French cook and this became the inspiration behind the Thang Long menu. Thang Long is one of San Francisco's first Vietnamese restaurant and is part of the An family restaurant group. Thang Long is a multi-million dollar , with restaurants across the West Coast. It is also home to its Secret Kitchen, where sauces and frozen appetizers, previously served only to customers at its restaurants, are available to the public. The An family group, has recently entered the market with accessories including chopsticks, tableware and souvenirs. Its corporate office is in Los Angeles.

Yes the crab is delicious. Yes it is expensive. And the garlic noodles were addicting. The eggplant shrimp was an average dish, would skip next time.
