About Foundation The Healthy Family Foundation ( a division of John F. Kennedy Memorial Foundation ), established in 1984, is an independent 501 ( c ) 3 organization. In 2002 2002 Foundation opened a full service pediatric clinic, the Healthy Family Clinic, providing a unique concept of comprehensive pediatric, child development and parenting education services. The primary emphasis is placed on helping young children, have a healthy, happy and safe start in life. The Foundation operates many community programs and activities out of our Healthy Family Clinic. It also serves as a regular meeting site for collaborating agencies and various community agencies. We have developed a strong collaboration and ongoing interaction with 140+ Desert agencies that has proven to be a successful community team partnership. We are proud to be officially affiliated with National Healthy Families America, Reach Out and Read and the National Ophelia Project as well as being the recipient of the California Legislature Assembly 2006 Bono Family Creating Hope Award for outstanding leadership in preventing child abuse and neglect in the Coachella Valley.
