Carolyn (Carly) Hwang received her master degree from Yale University. Carly recognizes that the transformation to parenthood is much more than simply the birth alone. She enjoys working with women and their families to have an integrated, and empowered pregnancy, birth, and postpartum experience. Carly believes in shared decision making, recognizing that while she has formal training in Midwifery, the people she cares for are the experts in their own bodies and their own specific physical, emotional, and informational needs. In addition to being a Certified Nurse Midwife and Women's Health Nurse Practitioner, Carly has completed further studies to become a Certified Lactation Counselor, and can offer guidance for the breast feeding mother.

Jane has been a midwife since 1991 and has taken care of moms and babies in Marin for the past 24 years. She received her nursing degree at the University of Pennsylvania, where she discovered midwifery as her calling. After working as a labor and delivery nurse in Philadelphia, she returned to California to study midwifery at USC-LA County Hospital, where she became a staff member and clinical instructor. In 1994, Jane returned to her roots in the Bay Area to study at UC Berkeley where she obtained her MPH. Jane joined Prima in 2011. She is fluent in Spanish and when she isn't traveling, she enjoys spending her free time in the garden.
