The Seneca Healthcare District, established in 1952, is a public general acute care facility that specializes in cardiology, internal medicine, orthopedics, pathology, radiology, podiatry, ophthalmology and urology. The district offers long-term care services for senior citizens. It provides mammography, sonography, CT scanning, bone density, and outpatient laboratory and surgical services. The Seneca Healthcare District also offers nutritional counseling, stress testing and respiratory care solutions. The district manages a more than 10-bed hospital and emergency room. In addition, it operates Sierra Hospice, which encourages pain control and symptom management. The Seneca Healthcare District is a subdivision of the State of California.
