Seaside Animal Control

The Seaside County Public Works Department is operated by the government of the City of Seaside, Calif. The division is responsible for the design and construction of the city s infrastructures, including streets, water system, sewer system, storm-drain system, park facilities, city buildings and transportation/traffic systems. Divided into engineering and maintenance divisions, the department also maintains and upgrades all public facilities and public rights-of-way. Additionally, the department administers and implements the capital-improvement program, storm water and sanitary sewer master plans.

Seaside City Hall consists of administrative services, fire and police departments. It houses a resource management services department that includes building, planning and redevelopment agency divisions. The city hall has a public works department that is responsible for the design, construction, operation and maintenance of all public facilities. Its finance division deals in the areas of accounting, cash management, utility billing, business licenses, payroll, budget, risk management, and accounts receivable and payable. The city hall also consists of a personnel office that administers personnel rules and regulations, workers' compensation, safety, employee benefits, employee relations and equal employment opportunity programs. Seaside City Hall is governed by the City of Seaside in California.

The Seaside Police Department, located in Seaside, Calif., is a law enforcement agency that prevents loss of lives, injuries and property damage. It also provides services for managing traffic and emergency incidents and protecting public and state assets. The Seaside Police Department maintains a citizens police academy that provides training programs related to laws, firearms instruction, defensive tactics, first aid, patrol procedures and investigations. The department, in collaboration with the County of Monterey Behavioral Health and the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, supports a juvenile diversion program that attempts to keep juveniles out of the justice system by providing positive alternatives. The Seaside Police Department provides accident reporting, fingerprinting, firearms permits, and vehicle abatement and release services.
