Founded in 1908, Varco Heat Treating Company is the first commercial heat treater in Southern California. The firm is a division of Diversified Metallurgical Services Inc. and is ISO 9002 compliant. It offers a wide range of services, such as vacuum heat treating, open fire furnaces, cryogenics, nitro carburizing, metallurgical consulting and laboratory services. The firm performs various types of analyses, including microhardness surveys, case depth determinations, metallographic examinations and failure analysis. It is also one of the largest heat treating companies in Orange.
