Santa Barbara Museum of Art stores antiquities from Asia, Europe and America. The museum s collection includes works on 20th century American art, manuscripts, photography and contemporary art. Its Asian collection consists of more than 2,600 objects. Its American Art section includes approximately 400 paintings and sculptures. The Santa Barbara Museum of Art also serves as a teaching resource for educators. It offers a number of programs for teachers and students and sponsors various exhibitions.
