Saint Francis Foundation

Saint Francis Foundation is a fund-raising foundation that exists to build the financial stability of Saint Francis Memorial Hospital, a non-sectarian San Francisco medical care center built in 1905. The foundation is the steward of $67 million, representing the donations of more than 4,000 donors. The foundation sells tickets to luncheons and creates opportunities for individuals and organizations to make financial contributions to the hospital. Among the foundation s most popular and long-running fund raising events is an annual party called The Holiday Hob Nob on the Hill. At this party, which takes place at San Francisco s Fairmont Hotel, guests enjoy gourmet cuisine, fine wines and entertainment. Donors are thanked and memorialized on the Wall of Honor, located in Saint Francis Memorial Hospital. The foundation aggressively courts outright unrestricted bequests, deeming them the most needed form of financial gift. Located in San Francisco, the foundation has received more than 500 gifts of $5,000 or more since 1994.
