Sierra Azul Preserve, managed by Midpen, encompasses over 19,000 acres of pristine wilderness in the Santa Cruz Mountains, offering a diverse range of landscapes including serpentine grasslands, steep chaparral, and shaded oak woodland forests. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts, the preserve features 26 miles of multiuse trails for hiking, biking, and horseback riding, as well as stunning views from the summit of Mount Umunhum, the highest point in the Bay Area Ridge Trail.

this is a good place to stop by and enjoy the views. There are some benches if you follow the short path by the parking lot and next to the bathroom that takes you to an area that has some benches...
