History
The Roxie is San Francisco's oldest continually operating theater, having turned 100 in 2009. It has been functioning as an independent arthouse theater since the 1976 and has since been lauded for showing the best of art, music, foreign and documentary films. It is home for some of our city's most popular festivals, including INDIEFEST, DOCFEST, NOISEPOP and FRAMELINE. We offer a heightened film-going experience by combining our programming with events, panels, Q&As, classes, music and more!
