Arcata Recreation Division organizes the city of Arcata s recreation activities and is located in Arcata, Calif. It offers a wide range of activities for adults, including an all seasons orchestra, bridge club, chess club, yoga classes, intermediate and advanced exercise and tai chi. The activities directed at the youth are the orchestra, a play center, chess club, gymnastics, yoga, gardening workshop and birthday parties. There are community events such as a song circle, Halloween carnival, craft market and the summer concert. Arcata Recreation Division operates a senior lunch and activity site at the Arcata Community Center, where lunch is served daily and activities, including exercise class and blood pressure checks are conducted.
