The mission of the Yuma County Sheriff s Office is to maintain the public safety by enforcing all applicable laws, educating youth about responsible conduct and providing fair and impartial service to all residents of Yuma County, Ariz. The administration division includes the communications department, finance department, human resources, materials management, information technology services, professional standards bureau and the records department. Other departments within the sheriff s office include the patrol services division, detention bureau, custody and detention section, boat patrol squad, K-9 units and the criminal investigations unit. The sheriff s office also operates a number of volunteer programs and administers a variety of youth programs. The Yuma County Sheriff s Office maintains its headquarters in Yuma, Ariz.
