Late 2006: started making vegan donuts after inspirations found traveling, prototypes were delivered. donuts were made at eclair bakery on telegraph ave. In 2008 peoples donuts moved into china cafe in west oakland on peralta and 14th. in 2009 the donut co. Was featured in the east bay express article; vegan junk food. The founder is on the cover wearing a paper hat on which he scratched
