Oak Canyon Nature Center is a 58-acre natural park situated in Anaheim Hills, Calif. The natural park consists of a year-round stream, three adjoining canyons and more than 4 miles of hiking trails. Also located on site is the John J. Collier Interpretive Center, a small museum with live animals and regional natural history exhibits. Oak Canyon Nature Center has established operational guidelines that are designed to promote the conservation of the center's wildlife resources, as well as for the benefit and protection of park visitors. It hosts summer nature nights that are educational programs held on Wednesday evenings throughout the summer in an outdoor amphitheater. The presentations include slides, films, exhibits and live animal demonstrations. Oak Canyon Nature Center's outdoor amphitheatre and back deck area are available on a rental basis for a variety of group uses, including weddings and receptions.

Pretty nice park and offers some good areas for walking. Lots of shady areas and small benches if you want to rest your feet. Enjoyed the pockets of quietness in the park and also the little signs...

I'm not in North County often but a walk with an OC women's walking group brought me to the Oak Canyon Nature Center and I'm so glad it did. Get here early because the parking lot fills up fast...

Easy to find. Minimal parking spots. Bathrooms available. Lots of variety of trails - dry, dirt, windy ones, and shaded ones with bridges and benches. You can also walk up to the water reservoir...
