Founded in 1977, Musicians Institute offers a practical education in contemporary music performance, recording, guitar making, music business and film. It has an enrollment of more than 1,100 students and employs over 150 faculty members. The institute is accredited by the National Association of Schools of Music and is also approved by the Bureau of Private Postsecondary Vocational Education of the State of California. Located in Hollywood, Calif., the institute offers degrees, certificates and noncertificates options. Its facility is spread over an area of more than 64,000 square feet and consists of recording studios, audio labs, production centers and editing suites. The institutes also has a store in Los Angeles that offers mugs, key chains, water bottles, pens, binders, pencils and lanyards. Additionally, the institute features special facilities for people with disabilities.
