History
Originally started as a volunteer event by the World Runner's in '82, the event saw numerous owner/operators until 2001 when International City Racing (ICR) took over the rights and has operated the race ever since. ICR became Run Racing who currents owns and operates the event.
Specialties
The Long Beach Marathon and Half Marathon is a 3-Day event kicking off with the Health and Fitness Expo on Friday October 9 and concluding with Marathon Race Day on Sunday October 11. Our event includes the new Aquarium of the Pacific 5K and Kid's Run on Saturday October 10, and the Bike Tour, Marathon and Half Marathon on Sunday October 11.

The Exit Parking after the Run Sucks!!! 10.5.2025 we were on the parking for 2 hours tried to get out! I wish they would plan a better flow and exit next year. cause it was terrible!!

I thought the race was okay but what happened afterwards made me feel this is a very sham operation. I didn't pick up my beach cities medal for completing OC SURF CITY AND LONG BEACH marathons...
