Leaps N' Bounds Dance

History

Leaps N' Bounds Dance was developed as a direct result of Sara Benavidez facilitating her students' improvement in technique, movement execution and increased health overall. Sara realized that many of her new students were unaware of the power they had over designing their own livelihood. Through Leaps N' Bounds Dance, Sara aims to teach young students and young dancers to acknowledge their identity and empower them to develop positively. Leaps N' Bounds curriculum is loosely based on her education from Saint Mary's College of California and her own travels. Leaps N' Bounds Dance performance program consists of a training program and a professional performance company. These programs collaborate as one on the stage. Leaps N' Bounds performance company is known throughout the dance community for it's excellence in dance technique and performance expression. Leaps N' Bounds Dance training program addresses individual goals of each aspiring professional.

Specialties

Leaps N' Bounds Dance provides innovative performing arts programming to diverse audiences in Los Angeles and surrounding communities. We provide professional development opportunities in dance technique training and performance opportunities for students and adults in our performance program. We also provide education in the areas of theatre, cooking & arts to school age students from elementary to high school.
