History

For the last 15 years I have been working with children and their families as a nanny, afterschool teacher, K-1 teacher, a preschool teacher in a Regio Emilia school, and most recently as a Head Start teacher. The idea for an in-home playschool was a natural extension of my desire to create an environment that more specifically resonates with what I want to create.At Juniper Tree, I draw on my past experience with children, my own personal growth and education to create a loving, creative and explorative environment for our children.

Specialties

We are a Waldorf-inspired, nature-based, in-home playschool located in South Land Park Sacramento. We currently accept 12 students a day. We cater to the age group of 3 to 6 year olds and operate from 8:30-12:30 Monday to Thursday. We accept students on a 1-day, 2-day, 3-day or 4-day a week basis. We serve an organic vegetarian snack and lunch. As a nature school, our intention is to create a balance of internal and external stimulus so your child can experience a wide range of activities that meet all of their emotional, social and physical needs...while having fun! We provide nature play, creative arts, dramatic play, music, stories, dance and baking activities. We also provide a rich outdoor area for children to develop their gross motor skills and explore the natural world through all of their senses.
